The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has ramped up enforcement against mixed loading in Kaduna State, seizing several articulated vehicles carrying passengers alongside animals and goods in hazardous conditions.

Corps Marshal Mallam Shehu Mohammed, via a statement from Public Education Officer Mr. Osondu Ohaeri, highlighted the Kaduna Sector Command’s operation—directed by him and led by Sector Commander Corps Commander Tijani Iliyasu—along key routes. Over 100 people were found in unsafe setups during the Easter Special Patrol.

Mohammed labeled mixed loading a “ticking time bomb” and major traffic violation, noting that risks like crushing by cargo or livestock in crashes, plus vehicle instability and poor braking increases the chances of fatal accident. He stressed FRSC’s zero-tolerance policy, warning drivers of arrests and prosecution, while urging safe driving amid holiday traffic surges.

The Corps Marshal recommitted to nationwide patrols, intelligence ops, and awareness drives, calling on all to uphold rules as shared road safety duty.
