The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that it successfully facilitated the export of over 500,000 tonnes of petroleum products from the Dangote Refinery to other African countries in March 2026.
Speaking at a stakeholder engagement hosted by the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy in Lagos, the NPA Managing Director, Abubakar Dantsoho, highlighted Nigeria’s resilience in maintaining steady petroleum supply both domestically and for export, despite global disruptions caused by the Middle East conflict.
He credited this achievement to the implementation of the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) policy introduced by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola. The policy ensures seamless coordination among all stakeholders involved in operations at the refinery, improving efficiency in port and cargo handling.
Dantsoho emphasized that while many countries face energy shortages, Nigeria has remained stable and even expanded exports, supported by improved port operations and collaborative frameworks like the OSS.
