The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration & Control (NAFDAC), has integrated its digital systems with Nigeria’s upcoming National Single Window platform, set to launch on March 27, to streamline trade and port operations.
The Federal Government’s new electronic portal will connect agencies handling imports and exports, enabling traders to submit documents once for automatic sharing and approvals.
As Nigeria’s regulator for food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, chemicals, and packaged water, NAFDAC aligned its platforms for registrations, permits, inspections, and clearances to ensure seamless data exchange. The agency has updated its guidelines, boosted collaboration with trade and border partners, trained staff, and revised its website documentation.
These changes aim to boost transparency, cut redundant processes, speed up cargo clearance, and enhance the ease of doing business while safeguarding public health and fostering economic growth.
NAFDAC urges importers, exporters, and manufacturers of regulated goods to learn the system and follow new procedures.
