The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has given green light to Magen Doxa Umerim Capital Limited to begin operating as a Fund and Portfolio Manager in Nigeria’s capital market, with activities officially starting on July 28, 2026.

The firm described the development as an important turning point in its journey, saying it is guided by professionalism, integrity, sound governance and a firm desire to help clients build and protect wealth.

Based in Yaba, Lagos, the company said it will offer regulated investment management services designed for individuals, businesses, institutions and diaspora clients. It added that its approach will be driven by experienced investment specialists, careful research, strong risk controls and technology-enabled solutions aimed at delivering a smooth and transparent investment experience.

Now that it has SEC approval, Magen Doxa Umerim Capital said it is better placed to broaden access to professionally managed investments while maintaining high standards of accountability, compliance and client support.
