The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reassigned all four (4) deputy governors, effective June 1, 2026. This was disclosed by the apex bank on its website.

Philip Ikeazor now heads the Policy Directorate, replacing Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi, who has been moved to Corporate Services. Emem Usoro has shifted from Corporate Services to Operations, while Lamido Yuguda has been reassigned from Operations to the Financial System Stability Directorate.

CBN described the redeployments as part of efforts to optimize senior leadership, strengthen coordination across strategic departments, improve operational efficiency, and align responsibilities with the bank’s evolving priorities amid ongoing institutional reforms.
