The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to Fly-Pyatic, the aviation arm of Pyatic Group, allowing it to begin commercial operations including executive charters and non-scheduled flights. At the Abuja ceremony, NCAA Director General Capt. Chris Ona Najomo called the AOC a major milestone but stressed that securing it is just the start; maintaining it through strict safety and operational discipline is essential, and the authority will support operators while enforcing standards.
Founder and Group CEO Capt. Aliyu Ahmad Yakubu said the certificate goes beyond permission to fly: it embodies the Group’s belief that mobility creates access, opportunities, and economic transformation. He described Fly-Pyatic as part of a broader strategy to use aviation as a tool for business growth and community empowerment across Africa, while acknowledging Nigeria’s aviation challenges such as poor infrastructure, high costs, and limited financing that also create openings for innovative operators.
COO Bola Adeeko said Fly-Pyatic is designing services for modern executives and organizations that value reliability, flexibility, privacy, and time efficiency. He argued that faster, more dependable travel prevents missed meetings and lost opportunities, and that Fly-Pyatic’s on-demand charters and corporate mobility solutions aim to reposition aviation as a practical productivity tool rather than a luxury.
